How we’d photograph it

Shoot the ceremony from the rear pews so the 17-metre crystal window stays visible behind the couple. Time the wider frames for when light is coming through the glass onto the altar; that's when the window does its actual work, and stills taken before that moment lose half the effect.

The 200 acres of cattle country gives the property a portrait corridor that few NSW venues can match. Build a portrait route from the chapel down to the wisteria terrace and across the maze; that walk produces visually distinct frames without leaving the venue.

The pavilion's air-conditioning matters more than it sounds. It means evening reception coverage can run through hot summer nights without guests visibly wilting in the frame. Plan the formal dinner shots for the early reception, when the room reads its best.
