The Vigano family runs the place as a restaurant first; weddings get absorbed into that operation, not stripped down into a function-rental format. Italian-restaurant authenticity is the draw, and the catering matches the family’s restaurant tradition.

How we’d photograph it

The Plenty Valley Gorge view from La Terrazza is the property’s headline distance shot. Frame the couple’s portraits with the valley walls visible at the depth-of-field break, not just as background pattern.

Multiple rooms means multiple lighting environments. Walk all four spaces during arrivals to lock the white-balance plan; switching rooms mid-reception without prep produces colour-cast errors that cost editing time.

Catch La Terrazza outside in afternoon light. The terrace runs west-facing, so direct sun lands flat on the gorge backdrop only between roughly 4pm and 6pm in standard daylight savings.

Italian-restaurant catering means the food shots matter more than at venue-only properties. Plate-up timing is tighter than caterer-supplied weddings; coordinate with the kitchen team and not with the wedding coordinator for course access.

Drive time from Melbourne CBD is 35 to 50 minutes depending on Plenty Road traffic. Brief the bridal party and second shooter on that buffer so morning prep coverage doesn’t compress the ceremony schedule.
