The Ivory is a Georgian-revival house and rose garden in Elsternwick, 20 minutes south-east of the Melbourne CBD. The whole property commits to one aesthetic with no modern interventions inside the main event zones.

The rose garden and the house facade provide two very different compositional territories. Garden ceremony and portrait positions read soft and planted; facade portraits read architectural and formal. Use both; the gallery risks feeling one-note if the day stays entirely in one register or the other.

Interiors are finished with heavy polish, so the photography should match that visual level. Styling details carry more weight here than at venues with rougher textures, because the room itself is already finished; every small styling choice becomes visible against the clean surfaces. The Ivory's polished interior reads strongest under warm evening lighting once the event activates the rooms.
